Jody Rosen - Head Coach Jody Rosen has been involved with hockey for over 30 years now. He grew up playing house and travel hockey for Cazenovia Park and the South Buffalo hockey organizations. He played high school hockey for the Buffalo Traditional Icemen and is a member of the Buffalo Traditional Hockey Hall of fame. He played college hockey in the J.U.C.O. League for the Erie Community Katz in Orchard Park New York. He was hired as head coach in 2008 for UB after serving as the assistant coach and forwards coach for 3 years. Jody has also coached several house, select, and AAA teams in the Amherst Youth Hockey system and runs a successful Power Skating school during his summers in Amherst New York. Jody received his Level 4 USA hockey certification at Providence College in Providence Rhode Island in 2008. Coaching is a passion for Jody and he is always looking for top female hockey players to share his passion with and for his players to get a top affordable education at UB, all while having fun playing competitive non scholarship D1 college hockey. Melissa Jeckovich - Offensive Coach Melissa joined the Lady Ice Bulls coaching staff in 2010. Melissa has been playing competitive hockey her whole life. She had a very successful four year NCAA college hockey career where she played for the Buffalo State Bengals. She holds several team records including most games played and she also is 9th on the Bengals all time scoring list. Melissa is a Level 3 certified coach and has previously coached U16 and high school hockey. Melissa is currently working on her MBA at UB. Brendan Lillis - Defensive Coach Brendan joined the UB Lady Ice Bulls as an assistant in 2008. He previously coached 5 years in Amherst Youth Hockey. He grew up playing defense in the Amherst Youth Hockey system, and continued on to play high school hockey for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute in Western New York. Brendan has over 20 years of hockey experience. He is a USA Hockey Certified Coach and is a great asset to the UB program. Brendan earned a degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in 2006, and a degree from UB Law School in 2009. email: |
| Meredith Larsen - Goaltenders Coach Meredith Larsen joined the coaching staff in 2009-2010, one year after completing her four-year goaltending career at Buffalo State College. Larsen received the team's most improved player awarded as a Junior. Growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she played for both Little Caesars AAA as well as for Honeybaked Ham AAA. She has over 20 years of hockey playing experience including 12 years as a goaltender. Meredith is a USA Hockey certified Level 3 coach and is a referee in her spare time. Larsen completed her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology: Deviance and Social Control.
